Drop Metal - Library Windmill Friday, 19 August 2011 00:00 A couple months ago we were commissioned to design and build a windmill for the Madison County Library Children’s Garden, which is set to open this Sunday, September 18. This project gave us the opportunity to help teach children about sustainable energy sources while providing a new challenge of building a kinetic sculpture for the first time. When I am looking for inspiration for a design project, I can always find it while looking through sheets of handmade or even scrapbook paper. The textures, colors, patterns and weight of each sheet capture my attention the way some people (many people) are drawn to designer shoes.
