Kristy Jane From-Brown - Studio 313

… I am an observer of all things which are beautiful and dignified.  These paintings are neither of these, only an account of my time spent bearing witness.

I have shown my work in two solo art shows and have been part of several group shows in the Huntsville area.  I share studio 313 with Kimberly Hart at Lowe Mill and have been part of the Lowe Mill Arts and Entertainment family of artists since the beginning of 2008.  My work can be seen in the collections of Nicole Yalowitz, Beth Norwood, and Deborah Horn.

In 1999 I received my BFA from the University of South Alabama with a primary concentration in printmaking and secondary in photography, however, I have been painting one way or another for the past 10 years.  I have lived in Huntsville AL for my entire adult life.   I was raised in Long Island, NY, Greenwood SC, and Waterloo IA, ending up in north AL to finish high school, and attended college in Mobile, AL.
