 Kyle Zeringue, a member of the North American Nature Photography Association, has been an avid nature photography for over 30 years. While formally educated in the sciences, photography provided a welcome escape from the rigors of working in a research lab environment. Living in Florida, there was ample opportunity to work with wildlife and other nature subjects. As the hobby grew into an avocation, work expanded to include more travel and landscape work. Kyle has resided in Huntsville since the mid -80s. Over those years, additional genres have been explored. The inspiration to try new things sprung from a desire to attempt challenging subjects and setting the goal to produce quality images of those subjects. As a result, Kyle’s work has expanded to include flowers, abstracts, the human form, and macro photography. A winner of numerous awards in local, regional, and national competitions, his images have been published nationally. In Kyle's nature work,the goal has always been to capture the beauty of the landscape and wildlife faithfully. Digital darkroom work has focused upon producing images not altered in color, saturation, or content. Kyle subscribes to and advocates the principles of ethical field practices to promote the well being of locations and subjects in order to promote good stewardship of resources. Work from across the country is displayed in studio 301 at Lowe Mill. In addition to nature work,images from the other genres are offered. A changing variety of work, all printed by Kyle, is shown. All prints on display represent work from recent years. Limited edition prints are available in different sizes, either matted or matted and framed. Also available are original photography note cards suitable for framing. The public is invited to visit Kyle in his third floor studio any time to discuss photography and to see the current selection of color and black and white limited edition prints. Plans are in the works for offering introductory photography classes and possibly advanced classes and photo excursions. Kyle is also available for photographic assignments. |
