I am happy that God gives me the ability and opportunity to enjoy my creative pursuits and I thank Him for it. My supportive hubby of 30 years and my wonderful family and friends are a great help and much appreciated. I’m originally from Pennsylvania where I graduated summa cum laude from the Pennsylvania College of Art & Design, #1 in my class. Although primarily trained in graphic design I love photography most of all. I’ve won an award or few including one from a Panoply Art Festival photography contest. I also designed the winning T-shirt art for Huntsville Hospital's 25th annual Autumn Chase Fun Run. My work has been called soft and elegant. I like open, quiet, lonely spaces and melancholy moments. I love surrealism. I’ve been told that occasionally my work reminds one of the art of Edward Hopper. I think it’s thrilling to be compared to him. A church secretary, artist, and newsletter editor for North Alabama Mensa –– I am a member of Winchester Road Baptist Church, Ascribing Artists and Mensa. |
