Willette's Prism holds an array of creativity, from watercolors to digital collages and paintings to sculptures and unique fashion designs and accessories. Available are various sizes of original artwork and very limited edition lithographs. Here lies a colorful menagerie of experiences. This studio's work also includes a dedication to helping the youth to consider an interdisciplinary approach to creativity. Working with community groups, homeschoolers, walk-ins and schools, the goal is to show just how intergrated visual art is in all disciplines and learning how to use that ability to enhance other projects. Artist Note: The work I produce is reflective of my life experiences and my effort to comprehend and examine human motives and the way we relate and respond to each other. The process of dealing with issues and the questions I have about my existence and the human condition directly through my work has been both cathartic and empowering. My many ways of expression allows me to delve into questions and conditions in a way that is creative and energetic. As a visual artist, I choose to explore my ideas through a variety of media. Originally recognized as a painter, I came to realize that my other creative expressions were so expansive it would be confining for me to limit myself to creating in one medium. When I am inspired, I work with a multitude of materials, whichever will best allow me to make that idea most expressive. As a result, my work includes paintings, sculpture, drawings, fashion design, and digital photography. Generally, a piece of work is a complement to another. But, there are some pieces meant to stand alone. |
