Monica Yother is the MY in MY Designs, in case you were wondering. I've been designing branding, advertising and marketing materials since 1987. Along the way, my work has been awarded some honors at local and national levels, which makes me very happy because it makes my clients happy...and I love making my clients happy. What is really rewarding, however, is when they tell me that business has improved because of the work I have done for them. 

I am an illustrator at heart, and rarely do I create something without some meaning or story to it. As far as styles and technique, some of my work is created in colored pencil or ink and scanned in and that's it. Some of it is a layered collage of photos and textures, often with words woven throughout. And then there is the style I use in the Art of Dance. This is probably my favorite style right now. It is hand-drawn, but in the computer, not on paper. I don't use a mouse, instead I use a pen tool, which feels to me very much like using a brush or pen, depending on how I use it.
