Join us to hear the Alabama Women’s Caucus for Art and hear them talk about their Third Floor East Gallery exhibit, “Unbound.” The event is free to attend. The ALWCA will talk about their work and their process as well as answer questions about the exhibition.
From the ALWCA:
There comes a time in your life where you want to move past the labels that have been applied to you and your experience. Through this exhibition, we want to involve our audience in the adventure of breaking through those barriers, laying down the stories, and deconstructing labels. Join us in exploring what life would be like unconfined, unrestrained and Unbound.
About the ALWCA:
Founded in 2015, The Alabama Women’s Caucus for Art is a chapter of the National Women’s Caucus for Art organization. The Women’s Caucus for Art was established in association with the College Art Association, in 1972, with the mission to create community through art, education, and social activism and to promote women’s contributions to the arts.
Our members are visual arts professionals, curators, gallery administrators, arts faculty, practicing, working and teaching artists, arts-based business owners, and other creative professionals. We strongly encourage all women creative professionals from the state of Alabama and the surrounding area to become members! For more information about our organization, membership and benefits, please visit our website at www.alwca.org.
