Practice your wheel-throwing skills and make your very own set of handmade pottery bowls! Learn to carve smoothly to create balanced patterns across the curve of your bowls. We’ll spend our first 2-hour class at the wheel throwing bowls, then trim the excess away in our second class, after they’ve dried a bit. In our third class, we’ll carve patterns into your bowls, then skip the next week to let your bowls dry and fire in our kiln. Finally, we’ll glaze your pots on the last week of class, and two weeks later you can pick up your finished set of bowls!
The fee for this course covers four 2-hour long sessions, meeting once per week. We will skip the week between our third and fourth class to allow our pots to dry thoroughly before firing.
