Come learn the basics of sewing in an old textile factory.
During this workshop you will learn several different stitches done by hand with a needle and thread. We will practice and explore the applications of each technique in other projects. Each stitch will be utilized to create set of prayer flags from a unique curated textile arrangement.
You will take home your completed prayer flag set, travel sewing kit, and stitch application print out to further develop your new skills.
We will begin the workshop in my studio workspace on the first floor of historic Lowe Mill ARTS & Entertainment. If the weather is nice we will venture out to the community garden and stitch in the sun.
Please come share in the sewing love at a special creative communal space.
Space is limited to 8 students.
