My interest is primarily nature photography with some work in travel photography. Work has won awards in a number of regional and national level photo competitions and has made it to the semi final round of judging in the BBC WIldlife Photographer of the Year international competition. Work has also been featured in the annual publication of the North American Nature Photography Association. Eventually I will expand to do more portrait work in the studio. Initial studio work at Lowe Mill will focus on the digital darkroom. The public will be able to see the workflow involved in taking RAW image files from the camera to final print ready files. Prints will be available for purchase. Standard digital techniques are equivalent to wet darkroom processes involving contrast, color correction, and dodging and burning areas of an image in preparation for making the final print.
