I am an observer. My bookshelves are filled with hand made illustrated journals. Trees, landscapes, botanical subjects, horses, cats, and figures are among my visual obsessions. I carry these journals with me everywhere, recording impressions and writing about my travels and everyday life. They are a rich source of images that reoccur in my linocuts, etchings, and mixed media prints, drawings, and paintings.

Recently I received a Diploma from the Society of Botanical Artists in Dorset, UK. I graduated with the MFA in Graphic Arts from Bowling Green State University, and the BFA in Graphic Arts and AS in Commercial Art Technology from Indiana University. I studied in Italy at the School of Art Centers International (SACI), Università per Stranieri, and the American University.

My works were exhibited in more than 100 exhibitions in six different countries, and are included in many collections, such as the Smithsonian National Museum of Art Print Collection, the Fogg Museum of Art Print Collection at Harvard, The Rossi Library Archives in Rome, and other corporate and private collections.

As a Professor of Art I taught all forms of the graphic arts. Recently retired from Jacksonville State University, I am excited about joining the Lowe Mill Arts community. I love teaching and sharing the joy of art making with others through classes and workshops.
